American Red Cross in Greater New York is looking to hire a Full-time, Accounts Payable Bookkeeper.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years accounts payable experience and experience with computerized accounts payable, accounting system and 1099 processing. Experience in a multi-location company preferred but not required.
PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:
Responsible for processing various types of accounts payable transactions including critical vendors invoices, Client Assistant Card (CAC) transactions and maintaining the vendor master file. The Accounts Payable Bookkeeper is also responsible for the preparation of monthly account reconciliations and journal entries, reviewing exception reports, preparing 1099 forms and processing electronic files for positive pay to the bank.
